Therefore now when buying a SUV, looking at Hybrids is also an option one must consider. Hybrids give you one of the best mileage SUVs and if we look at the 2007 line up, there are plenty of contenders for the best mileage suv crown.
In the hybrid category of SUVs one looks at the 2007 Ford Escape. With a best in class mileage, the front wheel drive version delivers 31 city and 29 highway miles per gallon, while the four wheel drive delivers 28 and 27 mpg respectively. The closest that the next delivers in terms of best mileage SUV are Toyota’s Highlander Hybrid with 28 and 25 mpg respectively for 2 WD and 27/ 25 in the 4WD category respectively. Ditto with the the Toyota Lexus which is badged as the RX 400h both are contenders for the second place best mileage SUV.
