Don’t open them yet. They came out of the can vending machines.

When you get a drink from the can vending machines, the cans get bounced around before they come out of the machine. If you open a carbonated beverage right away, it will usually spray all over the place. I learned that lesson at work one day. I got a soda from a vending machine, and I opened it too soon. I ended up with soda all over my expensive business suit. Yesterday, while visiting my mother in the hospital, I bought sodas out of a machine for my family members. When I took them to my mother's room, I told my wife and children not to open them yet. I explained that they had come out of the vending machine. My young son, of course, didn't heed my warning. He opened the can as soon as I handed it to him. He ended up with soda all over his jeans and t-shirt… not to mention the floor.
