The Scholastic Book Publishing Company

December 10th, 2007 | by admin |

If you grew up in America or were exposed to many American children’s books, it is likely that you would have encountered scholastic book publishing. After all, this firm is definitely the biggest in its particular niche in the United States, at least. Scholastic Book Publishing has very humble roots that date back to the 1920’s when it was a publisher of magazine supplements. It later started publishing youth oriented magazines. Then in 1948, it expanded into book publishing and things went all the way up from there. It is now notable for having the exclusive publishing rights for the Harry Potter series of books.
