Why Inventory Planning is Needed

November 24th, 2007 | by admin |

Knowing how much of an item to stock or even knowing which items you have in stock was once a logistics problem that took up a lot of time and effort. Inventory Planning was once done manually and this worked well enough. The real problem was the human factor, which made it less efficient and vulnerable to manipulation by unethical individuals. There is now software available to aid Inventory Planning by firms. The proper use of this software could not only lead to better efficiency and a reduction in wastage, but better employee ethics as well.
