Some choose to specialize in pediatric care while others may choose to become an occupational health nurse. Many nurses choose to take extra courses to pursue these specific areas of treatment. Not every nurse in specialist offices are specifically trained in that area so it is a great benefit to the patient when a nurse is specially trained.
