Science and Secular Homeschool Curriculum

April 2nd, 2008 | by admin |

A secular homeschool curriculum will differ when speaking about the origin of man when compared to the religious counterpart.  Whereas a religious home school curriculum will most likely imply divine creation, the secular homeschool curriculum will teach evolution.  In most public schools, evolution is taught but divine creation is also acknowledged as a religious belief.  Parents who are home schooling their children on a secular homeschool curriculum will incorporate the theory of evolution into their teachings and may also touch upon the religious beliefs of some people about the theories of divine creation.  As there is no solid proof for either theory, most people think it is wise to teach something rather than admitting that they do not know how man came to be.
