SGLI coverage policies

December 15th, 2008 | by admin |

Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance automatically gives coverage for its members for up to $400,000, unless the member chooses different and files a form to reduce it by increments of $50,000 or eliminates it altogether. The coverage includes actions during war or uprising and accomplished by heavy subsidy provided by the United States government and managed by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs. Service officials say feedback from the field on the policy terms has been universally positive, as long as soldiers take the time to read their policies properly.
