@uuu64 Well if you block google then you just blocked your only map around the internet. News flash: Bing and Yahoo use similar features too.

    3. By tapo on Nov 28, 2009 | Reply

Both of these features can be turned off. Wrench > Options > Under the Hood> and uncheck “Show Suggestions for Navigation Errors”

and immediately below that, “Use a Suggestion Service to help complete searches”

I can confirm that, if you turn off sending usage statistics and bug reports, Google Chrome sends nothing more data to Google as any other browser does. If you feel paranoid, you can always download Chromium, the open source browser that Google Chrome gets its codebase from, but you don’t get from Chromium is official support from Google, and auto updates.

This is why I most likely wont ever use Google Chrome and will stick with Firefox. Google and Privacy just do not go together. I know a lot of people in here are saying if you want privacy don’t use the internet but that is BS I am allowed some privacy on the internet.

Damn! This is crazy! even incognito mode doesn’t do the much stuff? Anyone think that Firefox’s “Private Browsing” does the same think or does it do better at protecting your privacy?

@CubeLuda is that why you just replied to me? to let me know that you weren’t replying to me? Is that the same logic you use when you bash google while using the google owned website youtube? Have a nice day homophobe. :)

You know what, as off now I’m dropping the replies… You keep pulling more and more sad excuses out of your ass everytime just to think you can win me over. It’s sad, move on. Don’t bother wasting your time with a hefty reply, it would be purely wasted.

PS: Enjoy sucking Google’s cock for every invention. You’re no different from the Steve Job’s followers. :)

@CubeLuda I know it’s sick, and you should be exposed for the paranoid pedophile that you really are. You need help, and if you were using chrome, they could find out the disgusting sites you go to and then send police to you house. Do you understand how crazy you sound?

    11. By CubeLuda on Dec 14, 2009 | Reply

      @EmperorEva0001

I’m not useing it, and never will. You can carry on useing it under the nefty speach of “I don’t have anything to hide.”

Kiddie porn? Now thats just sick.

    12. By EmperorEva0001 on Dec 17, 2009 | Reply

@CubeLuda If you don’t like chrome then don’t use it. All of your kiddy porn will be save with the other browsers.

Jesus… If it was legal, you would probbally sell your own mother wouldn’t you? I mean seriously? I’m hiding myself and MY own privete things… It’s that simple. Whats next? What do I have to hide in my bank account? Let google log my bank infomation too.

      You donut.

@CubeLuda what are you hiding? Osama?

If you paid attention, it was also recording the I.P address.

The problem is that GoogleAutoSuggest-spyware is ON by default.
We can tell our browser to block
      clients*.google.*

GoogleWebHistory-spyware is also ON by default.
      GoogleYoutubeAutoSuggest-spyware too.
I dont know how to block those. yet…

Today these things are paranoia, i’m sure Google wont do us any
harm. But we have no way of knowing what will happen later on,
      so better safe then sorry.

    17. By EmperorEva0001 on Dec 24, 2009 | Reply

This is bullshit. Google doesn’t record every letter you type so it can find out if you’re looking up marijuana. It’s just to accumulate statistics on what people are looking up so google can keep refining it’s search techniques.

If you’re seriously worried about this, then adjust your tinfoil hat. It might be on a little too tight, you paranoid crack pot.

When it comes to storing information(like ip address, actions, etc.) form a website, it’s just normal. But if your own browser sends information to google for whatever you do at the Internet, it’s just horrible!

If you want your browser to not send info to any company, use SRWare Iron. I recommend it for all chrome users.

The author of this video is just stupid, none of these stuff is related to Chrome in any way.

Few weeks ago I explained all those stuff in details (it was 4 comments long) and author just removed them. He’s making fools out of you. Just read last few smart comments.
