      are you talking about the time the of Chrysler in the 70s or airlines, or now we talk about the mortgages, banks, etc…

      if you look at auto industry, it not just the auto workers jobs that are lost but you have to look at the suppliers to the auto companies, and work down to the people that work at McDs… so when the auto companies lay off 100 people there a fall out of about 60 jobs down the line.. it works with all big companies that lay off..
      yet when the companies are losing money the CEOs still get huge pay checks, bonus, etc.. if you look at CEOs pay they could keep lots of people working if they just take pay cuts…
      now our president wants to limit them but at 500,000 a year, that does not bother them they get bonuses, stock options in replace salary, they just laugh at this move..
