What is Blepharoplasty?

November 4th, 2008 | by admin |

Blepharoplasty can be performed in your doctor’s office, an outpatient surgical facility or a hospital, where it is generally performed under local anesthesia, but can be performed under general anesthesia. Blepharoplasty cosmetic surgery improves baggy skin under the eyes, sinking upper eyelids, or drooping eye lashes that impair vision, where this surgery may also be performed to treat a medical condition called ptosis (drooping eyelid) , which is caused by poor muscle tone or nerve damage. Blepharoplasty alone does not modify the asymmetry in the face.
