Why Construction Estimating Must Be Accurate

November 23rd, 2008 | by admin |

While technically, an estimate is just that- only an estimate- people still tend to take estimates to heart. Customers get angry when the actual costs exceed the estimated ones, and companies get annoyed when projects cost more than they should. Solid construction estimating helps both contractors and customers out. This is because customers can make a better decision based upon a more accurate estimate, and contractors do not have to deal with angry customers who are upset about the rising cost of a job. Since in the construction world, jobs often have to be bid on, it is beneficial to all if the estimates submitted are as accurate as possible.
