I thought they were all empty, except for the one that she uses for school, but I found out that she doesn't own one that isn't full of something. I was helping her spring clean her room. When we got to the closet, she starting handing out backpacks, one right after the other. She rummaged through each one to see if there was anything she intended to throw out. She's a pack rat, so there wasn't much that she felt she could do without. She has Barbie dolls in one backpack, baby dolls in another, and art supplies in yet another. Each backpack has specific contents. I guess that's her way of organizing her room.
