Medical School admissions is competittive

August 7th, 2009 | by admin |

There is a lot of competition in medical school admissions.  My friend sought to set herself apart from the crowd when she applied for medical school at a respected university.  She did research and found that really the school she was looking at wanted to see a great grade point average for her undergraduate credits as well as a very good MCAT score.  Of course, being involved in other areas of leadership or community organizations was also a big plus.  So, while others enjoyed all the “college life” that goes with undergraduate school, she spent time studying for her current classes as well as taking a prep course in the MCAT.  Not surprisingly, she was accepted in her first try.
